The historic partnership between Banfi and Cantine Riunite has ended
One of the longest-lived business agreements in the Italian winemaking sector (between Banfi Vintners and Cantine Riunite-Civ) will officially come to an end on 10th June. The partnership, which was signed in 1967, will cease by common agreement.
In place of the company headed by Cristina Mariani-May today, the distribution of bottles produced by the cooperative in Reggio Emilia will be entrusted to Frederick Wildman & Sons.
Banfi Vintners, on the other hand, aims to valorise Castello Banfi’s premium level wines, starting with the Super Tuscans and Brunello di Montalcino, following new trends on the United States market, which is looking more to the fine wines sector.
