The Mediterranean viticulture

The Mediterranean viticulture

We’re nearly there. On 9th June the new issue (#3/2014) of Civiltà del bere will be in the newsagents, in Italy. We would like to distribute it all over the world in English, but it isn’t possible. Naturally we are gearing up to provide a “Civilization of Wine” in digital format, or at least in part, to convey our passion and comments to friends all over the world who are interested in Italian wine.

This new strictly ad-free Inside, featured on our cover, is dedicated to the Mediterranean as a concept and as an expression of viticulture. There are 40 pages covering countries in the Mediterranean Basin: from the Middle East, Israel, Syria, Lebanon … passing through Turkey, Greece, Albania, the Balkans, southern France, Spain, north Africa … every country described by a local writer or an expert on the area, indicating the most representative wines.

I haven’t forgotten Italy … at the centre of the Mediterranean, with its Sicily, Sardinia and peninsula embraced by the sea. I have left it for last in order to announce that it is with great pleasure that we have decided to give away for free the chapter on Italy, translated into English. I would like to hear what you think. Here it is.
