Changes at the top in Genagricola and Santa Margherita
Big news in Genagricola and Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo. The agroalimentary holding of Generali Italia has welcomed its new Managing Director, Igor Boccardo, while Santa Margherita has announced that Ettore Nicoletto is stepping down.
Igor Boccardo CEO of Genagricola
Born in Turin in 1969, Igor Boccardo has come to Genagricola after gaining vast experience as marketing manager, sales manager and general director in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods multinational companies. Today he is the CEO of the largest Italian agroalimentary company, with a cultivated surface area of over 15 thousand hectares and a turnover of 56 million euros in 2018 (40% of which from wine production).
Ettore Nicoletto leaves Santa Margherita
Ettore Nicoletto, on the other hand, is leaving his role by common accord and in total harmony with the Marzotto family, once the 2019 financial statement of Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo has been approved. “These have been exciting and extremely gratifying years,” commented Nicoletto, who guided the expansion of the group over 10 years on national (taking over Ca’ Maiol in Lugana and Mesa in Sardinia) and international territory, with the set-up of Santa Margherita USA.
