Grandi Langhe DOCG 2017: from 2nd to 4th April

Three days of itinerant tastings in Piedmont’s most famous winemaking region. The long-awaited Grandi Langhe DOCG 2017 is coming; the biennial event organised by the Protection Consortium for Barolo Barbaresco Alba Langhe and Dogliani. The event, held from Sunday 2nd to Tuesday 4th April, is only open to national and international professionals, according to the tried-and-tested formula of this “popular” event. The aim is to directly involve the different municipalities of origin: the wine tastings are organised at La Morra, Barolo, Neive, Guarene, Monforte d’Alba and Grinzane Cavour.
The wines taking part (also in preview)
Barolo, Barbaresco, Diano d’Alba, Dogliani and Roero are the DOCGs taking part in the event and the press will be able to taste the latest vintages in preview. In fact, the 2017 edition of Nebbiolo Prima will be secondary to Grandi Langhe DOCG 2017, with blind tastings (by invitation) reserved for national and international journalists. This is thanks to the collaboration with the Albeisa association.
A journey through the land of UNESCO heritage sites
We are in a territory that has been dedicated to vinegrowing for centuries and which still forms the core of the local economy today. But Grandi Langhe DOCG is a unique occasion to find out about this UNESCO world heritage site.
