Leading Italian wineries for Civiltà del bere

Dear readers, I would like to thank everyone for their feedback on newsletter number one. I will try to keep the standard high and limit the comments, because it seems that brevity is a much-appreciated virtue these days. Time is money and there is very little of either!

48 leading Italian wines

I would like to remind you that on 14th May we will be celebrating 40 years of our magazine Civiltà del bere at the magnificent Four Seasons Hotel in Florence. The date is not a random one: it is the eve of the Symposium organised by the Institute of Masters of Wine and, given that many of you will be coming to Italy for the occasion, it would be a pleasure and honour for us to invite you to the event, which will involve 48 leading Italian wineries (read the list here) in a walk-around tasting entitled “Protagonists of a Renaissance”, of Italian wine of course.

All the owners will be present and each one will present 3 wines from special vintages, including some vintages from 1974, the year Civiltà del bere was founded. It will also be an occasion to discover the “new” Civiltà del bere, which we have given a complete makeover, both to the graphics and content.

To confirm please email me directly at torcoli@civiltadelbere.com. If you are curious, it will be a pleasure for me to reply.
