Livio Felluga is 100 years old

1st September was the 100th birthday of a symbolic figure of Friuli wine, or rather Italian wine: Livio Felluga. Livio is the proud representative of this border region as well as the owner of a winery famous for quality white wines, and he is still a vital figure for the family company today.

The history of his winery began five generations ago in Izola, in Istria, where the Felluga family produced Refosco and Malvasia, and continued to the hills of inland Friuli. He decided to buy 155 hectares between the Collio and Colli Orientali del Friuli areas fifty years ago and then improved the land with love and respect through the years. Livio Felluga’s important milestone will be celebrated with an international event, a meeting between art, science, architecture and winemaking at Rosazzo Abbey on 20th September.
