Rivera winery: fine wines from Apulia

Rivera winery was founded by Sebastiano de Corato in the late 1940s in his family’s estate in Castel del Monte area in central-northern Apulia. Since then Rivera has become the benchmark of the region’s quality wine production and the force driving its rebirth, building a reputation for top class producer and true interpreter of Apulian indigenous grape varieties with wines such as the iconic Il Falcone.
The importance of terroir
The 75 hectares of estate vineyards located in the heart of Castel del Monte DOC and DOCG area yield native grape varieties, such as Bombino bianco, Bombino nero, Nero di Troia, Montepulciano and Aglianico, but also international varieties, such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc. Rivera winemaking is thus firmly linked to the local, traditional terroir, but, at the same time, is in tune with the changing demands of world markets, delivering wines that show great personality and surprising balance and elegance.
Rivera Winery is a member of Istituto Grandi Marchi
The “Institute of Fine Italian Wines Premium Brands” is the result of the determination and enthusiasm of nineteen of the most important Italian wineries to promote the culture and commercialisation of Italian high quality wine on world markets. Each winery is defined by the high standards of its products and brand image in the world.
