VinoVip Cortina 2019, the show is about to begin

VinoVip Cortina, the 36 hours of Italian wine, is in its twelfth edition. Entrepreneurs and top managers, experts and journalists, professionals and enthusiasts from the wine sector all take part in VinoVip. In all, there are about a thousand people who talk to each other, and that is no mean feat.
Here in Cortina, new ideas and projects arise: this is the feedback we receive every time at the end of the event, which is the best confirmation imaginable. This year VinoVip will be more glamorous, but not because Hollywood or Mediaset stars will be taking part. Though, in effect, there will be a touch of Hollywood in the form of cinema, with two special film showings. One is an Italian movie “Vino, l’eterna ricerca di eccellenza” (“Wine, the eternal search for excellence”), produced by Foragri, which will also sponsor the talk show after the film (Sunday afternoon).
A preview of “André – The voice of wine” at VinoVip
The second film really does come from Hollywood: the film “André – The voice of wine” will be shown for the first time in Italy, on Monday morning. It is a film about the incredible life of the Russsian winemaker André Tchelistcheff, who passed away in 1994. He lived in the USA for many years, was the very first “flying winemaker” and created some legendary wines (including Ornellaia). The film was made by his great-nephew, director Mark Tchelistcheff. This will be a one-off chance to pay homage to one of the greatest winemakers of the twentieth century. It will be followed by a tasting of some of the masterpieces he created all over the world.
The grand finale at Faloria with the ‘Wine-tasting with the Eagles’
And this is just an extra: as always, some great Italian producers will be taking part in the ‘Wine-Tasting with the Eagles’ on Monday afternoon, with 164 wines to taste at the Faloria Refuge (at 2,123 m). This is a tasting that has made history, and continues to be one of the most sought-after.
