Zonin goes ahead with generational change

Zonin goes ahead with generational change

The organisation chart of the Casa Vinicola is changing. The board of directors has announced Domenico Zonin is to be the new CEO, and Massimo Tuzzi, (already international manager of the winery, MD of Zonin USA and sole director of UK) will be general manager of the group. The two vice presidents, Francesco and Michele Zonin, will be joined by the long experience of Giuseppe Zonin, also nominated vice president.

The business side of Zonin winery

This is the comment of the president, Gianni Zonin, “the new organisation chart will enable us to face the next challenges of the wine world with success, achieving important goals and taking the winery to a target of 200 million euros in turnover in a few years. My son Domenico, with his specific wine experience gained abroad and at the family’s estates (editor’s note: today also president of UIV and Italian Confederation of the Vine and Wine, and vice president of Valoritalia and CEEV), and Massimo Tuzzi, who will put his international know-how to good use, will be able to make the two productive and business sides of the winery work better together, which today numbers over 2 thousand hectares of family-owned vineyards and wines present in 106 countries in the world”.

Gianni Zonin has often declared that he wants to complete the generational passage by the end of 2014. The presidency is still in his hands, though.
